World of Joy

Daily writing prompt
What’s a simple pleasure in life that brings you joy?

Just one? The whole world is filled with joy:

Pinwheels and pinecones
Purrs and kneading paws.
Dropping blocks of ice off a bridge onto a frozen river so they shatter.
Making tiny snowman around my workplace.
Watching the sun rise on the highway and letting it spark hope for the day.
Dancing in the rain.
Bolts of lightning shattering the horizon.
Bird feeders and a new species visiting.
Black spots on a golden pane.
New buds growing in spring.
Quoting “Nobody likes you, squirrel!” when your kitty is chittering at one on the balcony.
The moon.
A good book and having the time to read it.
Dancing when no one (except the cat) is watching.
Light filtering rainbow through a window panel.
Writing without the care of if its good or not.
A warm blanket and a fantasy movie.
Pillows.
Watching an animal go about its day.
Waving to the trees as they wave in the wind.
Smiling at clouds to not let them win.
Looking at my own art and liking it.
A hose that does not kink.
Waterproof boots.
A cool stick that can be used as a sword.
Fun stickers and using them.
Soundtracks to make daily tasks more interesting.

So many little things can bring joy to a day if you only let them.
